I am scheduled for a short LIVE segment on Around the World Radio this Thursday, Apr 12 at 10:27am PT (11:27am MT). I will call in to their studio in Santa Barbara.
The topic is Slow Travel and England. They contacted me after reading the AP article that came out last Monday.
Around the World is a syndicated travel radio broadcast that airs live every Thursday from 10-11 a.m. PT on AM 1290. www.aroundtheworldradio.com
I am also scheduled for a Portland radio travel show next weekend. I will post separately about that.
Of course I am totally freaked, having never been on radio or TV. But Diva and some others in the Everything Else forum have been giving me loads of good advice.
I was hunting around on their website today to see if I could listen to some old shows, but they don't have them on the site. You have to listen live.
>> Around the World is aired three times weekly in Southern California and delayed broadcast to thirty stations in Australia via the CBAA network.
KZSB AM 1290, The News-Press radio station, airs the show live on Thursdays at 10 AM and rebroadcasts at 8 PM and on Saturdays at 10 AM. The signal coverage includes Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch Goleta, Montecito Carpinteria, Ventura, Thousand Oaks and Northern Los Angeles County.
I just finished! It was great! The people interviewing me were really interested in Slow Travel and had done some slow travel!! We just talked about England.

Pauline you did great! Sounded very relaxed. It even made *me* want to go to the Cotswalds.
Pauline, I missed hearing you live this morning (darn work, anyway!) but just listened to the clip. You sounded great! I forwarded the link to my dad and Lisa - I know they'll enjoy hearing the interview, too.
