Hi all-
I haven't posted in a while. My husband and I did retire (we worked for the schools, so it doesn't quite feel like it yet!). One of my colleagues also retired and we "won" a week at a 2 bedroom condo in San Carlos, Nexico for the last week in September. We were excited to go anywhere in September! As it turned out, it would have cost around 2000 for two of us to fly into the nearest Mexican airport, so we are flying to Tucson and renting a car and driving the 6 to 8 hours to San Carlos. The people who own the condo have reassured us that this is something they do all the time. Because of the length and unpredicatability of the driving and the flight schedules out of Tucson, we need to spend one night there on our way back (October 4th). We would like to stay near the downtown area if that is a neat place to walk around. In what area should we stay for the most enjoyment and does anyone have any recommendations for a moderately priced hotel?
Thanks!
HGHSPL
