No doubt residents of the North American continent will be familiar with this set up.We travellers drove past (3 consecutive days) with great care and respect not even daring to look at the officer. As the patrol car was still in the same spot on the forth day I risked a quick glance in passing. Cant work out who was the biggest dummy ... him or me! J.

I remember a wood cutout of a car that used to be on Hwy 99 in California that did it for my mom everytime. This is a little more sophisticated. BTW, it looks like he has been there for a while. Smile

I can't read the lettering on the vehicle, but saw something like this in Freedonia. Never spotted the Marx brothers though . . .

Marta thanks for the link to 'woody' /grandcanyondave.... Fredonia...thats exactly where it was and we will be passing through again this year (Sept).You never know they might just use the real thing this time Cool cheers J.

no unfortunatly I live in the SF bay area. It's just that I really love hanging out in the Grand Canyon. What a wonderful place.

By the way, if you are going to visit the north rim by way of Freedonia -watch out! What I hear is that a portion of the highway (across the Arizona Strip) is patroled by tribal police; the speeding tickets are expensive & numerous.

Hi Dave.. thanks for that one,yes we will be once again visiting the north rim (taking friends this time) Speeding tickets we can do without.
Like you Grand Canyon is a place that always 'does it' for me...just the whole atmosphere. Its always on our itinarary,(mostly south R but love the north R too) we just keep going back, be there in Sept again...3 nights
