For our upcoming trip next month to this area, these are two towns we will be staying in, in addition to the North Rim. Any suggestions for where to grab dinner in these towns?

We like most cuisines , and are not interested in anything extravagant. Would prefer places that offer healthy menus (ie - greasy spoons are frowned upon).

Its been 7 years since I had a meal in Springdale or Kanab so I can only speak in generalities. Springdale is a very outdoor oriented place and I remember there being several gourmet cafes with very healthy and casual dining. Ask a local at either location for tips. Are you going to Best Friends?

Best Friends looks really nice, and I was waffling about visiting, but I think in all likelihood we will not. I always miss my dog while we are gone, and I suffer from an over-developed guilt complex for boarding her. I think seeing all the dogs would just remind me of Sophie.
