Any suggestions for Quebec City Restaurants would be appreciated.

Hi Sandy:

Hm.... the Slow Trav restaurant reviews page for Canada is pretty limited - mostly to Toronto. And we could certainly use some for Quebec, Montreal, etc. So if anyone out there has some recommendations, that would be lovely.

I can not recommend place in particular since it has been awhile.

However I do recommend buying a bottle of wine in a brown paper bag and buying some picnic lunch items and finding a nice spot in one the parks and enjoying a nice summer picnic with wine.

The brown bag is the wine, to keep it hidden from the cops who generally dont mind anyway

It aint Europe but as close as you can get without leaving North America.

Sandy, it's been a while since I was on Quebec City but our Toronto Star published today(!) an article about "Six meals in... Quebec City". The author is a well known arts critic and worth of your confidence in his suggestion.

Enjoy, tell us how it was!

I really liked Cafe St Malo at 75 rue Saint Paul in the lower town. It was very cosy, with a nice warm fire (it was about 3 degrees when i was there) and the food and service was great. I stumbled across it and went in but have since seen it has been written about. When I was there we were the only US tourists there.

Another place you might want to check is the NYTimes readers suggestions.
