Hi all

Getting ahead of myself but next year we plan to a 6 week trip to USA, Canada and finish in Alaska. In our planning stages we wouldn't reach Alaska until around the 1st week in October. Can anyone advise what the weather would be like at this time. Have looked at a few things and alot of things seem to stop in September. Help please.

Where in Alaska would you be? You're right, a lot of things (at least in tourist areas) close after labor day, the first week in September. I live in the Anchorage area, so let me know if I can help. It has been a very cold summer, and will be interesting to see what winter will bring. Will most likely be cold, don't shouldn't have snow on the ground yet. If you're looking at going on fishing charters, etc., that will all of stopped by then.
