Hi all - will be in NYC in mid-June with our 14 year old grandson, and with tickets to the Lower East Side Tenement museum on Sunday afternoon, thought a dim-sum lunch in Chinatown would be fun. Does anyone have any recommendations? Other ideas for a Sunday lunch/brunch in that area of town?

have you tried Citysearch.com? they've helped us find a few pretty good restaurants in different cities, and you can search by neighborhood.

Mmmmmmm - dim sum. Pig

We loved Dim Sum Go Go.
Easy to find, too.
I don't remember the address right now but the food was great!

Jan -- thanks for taking the time to respond. Will check this out.

Best wishes for a great trip -- you must be getting excited (and if you are like me - freaked by all that has to be done before you leave). Enjoy, and let us know all about it.

Try Bubbies we live in NY and go there whenever we can. It is comfort food and the brunch is good. They are in Tribeca which is a little away from the LES but worth it. Bubbies is located on Hudson and North Moore. Also isabella on the upper west side is also good ate there also across the street from teh museum of natural history on Columbus Ave.

We've been going to HSF (on the bowery) for years but the last couple of times I haven't been as taken by it.

Let me check some notes to see what I have on other places.

I second Jan's suggestion of Dim Sum Go Go. We ate there with our son a few years ago and we all loved it!

I third Dim Sum Go Go, but you should know they don't do the whole cart thing. I'll ask my travel agent and get back to you. She is a born and raised Chinatown girl and has her office on Pell Street.

All you folks on this board are terrific -- I'm sure we will have a great dim sum experience in New York. Thanks to all of you.
