Since the old thread is so bulky and well, OLD, I'll start a new one with questions and replies.

(Old thread - Marta, I'm going to learn how to do this, after you get back from OZ!!)

Vanessa,
We'd love a hike. Is the Blue Job Mountain the one that you would recommend? About how long does it take and where do you start?

Souloyster,
Thanks for the recommendation of Warren's Lobster House! That sounds very convenient. Are you saying like it's "walking distance"? And many thanks for all the good Portsmouth Links. So much to choose from. I have copied your whole post into my file. What a find!!!

SteveS,
So if the lobster tank is about empty at Chauncy's in October, where do YOU go to have lobster??(!!)
I really would be happy with a gillion lobster rolls too. (Mouth watering)

Roz,
I'm sending you a PM (finally) and really planning to visit Concord and the Alcott house!

Thanks all,

Carol

I would drive toward Ogunquit, Maine on Rt. 1 and look for a lobster pound along the road.

Blue Job in Strafford is an easy and fun hike that offers spectacular views extending to the Atlantic.

Have fun- colors should be at peak during your visit.

Thanks, Steve and Venessa (I got email from Souloyster with the needed inf)
We leave today and can't wait to enjoy beautiful New England. Am hoping for lovely foliage - the rain won't bother us, it's such a novelty to see the stuff!
I'm hoping to be replete with lobster rolls in a couple of days.
