Hi everyone, I was planning a trip to Canada with my family. I don’t have much idea on that place and I am still preparing my plans to visit the country. I would like to know from the travelers as what are the places I should be visiting there and any suggestions and advices would be welcome.
Canada is the second largest country in the world - as such you wouldn't want to try and visit it all. Most people will visit parts of it depending upon their interests.
What sorts of things interest you in a vacation destination?

JDeQ is correct, Canada is a huge country and you don't want to spend all your time in the air or on the road going from city to city.
Visit Vancouver! Our city has been voted as the most livable city in the world. You'll love the scenery, mild climate and friendly people. You can also make a day trip to Whistler, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Take a ferry to see Victoria, the capital of our province. Drive to the Okanagan for wine tasting. The possibilities are endless!
Basically it all boils down to what do YOU want to spend your holiday doing or what kind of environment would you like to explore. Sure the cities of Canada are interesting - I agree on Vancouver for its beauty, great multi-cultural vibe -- all of that in the midst of an awesome natural landscape.
However, Canada is not just its cities. Do you like the natural world - the seashore, the lakes, the mountains? Not to dismiss the total center of Canada but for time wise, I would stick to one locale -- East Coast or West Coast. B.C. is wonderful to explore, you have ocean, mountains, forests, Vancouver and Victoria, ferries to large and small islands, incredible First Nation's culture and art.
On the East, it isn't as "majestic" but it's scenic, affordable, some great seafood. Nova Scotia and PEI would make a great trip right there. Fly into Halifax, spend a few days in the small but fun city, tour around the province and head over to PEI for the people and the beaches.
Of course you could also fly into any of the cities mentioned above, but to really get a feel for Canada, I think you need to get "out of town" and into the incredible national and provincial parks and wonderful lakes and mountains. For me personally, I always love a vacation with a bit of city experience to tap into what is happening culturally but then also find a nice cottage to go to for a few days just to unwind. So, what are you interested in?
