As a current, however temporary (just two more weeks) resident of Baltimore, I wanted to post this link to Shermans Travel, where they crown Baltimore the most underrated city in the US. And I have to say I agree that it is an underrated city, it really has a lot to offer.

I think you're right. My friend just moved to Baltimore already dines out at the most wonderful restaurants. She has a "neighborhood" french bistro serving cassoulet all winter! I can find that in Seattle, but I have to drive downtown! (45 min.) ... and have a single glass of wine because of the drive.

I love Baltimore. I went to Maryland Intitute College of art so i spent 5 years there. That was before the light rail but Fells point was already hopping.
