We're renting a house in Vail for a week in Sept. We haven't been to Colorado for maybe 10 years, and we've never been to Vail. Any recommendations about (relatively) inexpensive restaurants, or about moderate hiking?
I figured someone on this board just might know a lot about Vail. Thanks!

Thanks for digging around to help me out, Colleen! Sally's info was indeed helpful.
I'll get basic info from guidebooks and all, but sometimes you get tips that are real golden nuggets here on the message board, and I thought it was worth a try. I will write a review of our rental there. We've rented twice in Breckenridge, but that was a long time ago. We don't ski, but we like to hike and we just love being in the mountains. We'll drive out there in Sept.
