Hi everyone,

I'm heading to San Diego on Friday and plan to spend a few hours at the zoo on Sunday. If I get hungry for lunch I may try one of the restaurants there. There are about 8 restaurants - any of them recommended over the others?

Any recommendations for a good seafood place that's reasonably priced? Say $45 for a complete meal with a glass of wine? Someone had mentioned a seafood place near my hotel (Holiday Inn on the Bay) but I can't remember the name.

Thanks!

I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Georges on the Cove in La Jolla. Their Outdoor Bistro Terrace is casual (and not too expensive) and has the best ocean view dining in San Diego. Make a reservation so you can request a table at the water's edge and time it so you can watch the gorgeous sunset as you dine.

4 of us dined together and 3 of us had seafood and it was yummy. Georges has a more expensive formal dining room indoors but it can't beat the view on their terrace.

Cheers!
Kathy

Our favorite is the Fish Market, don't let the name fool you! It is a great restaurnat with wonderful views. Upstairs is the upscale but down is always busy but very good. Of course Anthony's is a institution, been on the water there for sooo many years. The food is primarily seafood and has always been good. Both places sell wine.

I dined at the Fish market. Started with their panko calamari, which was a huge portion and quite yummy. Since it was a lot of calamari, I ended up with a shrimp salad for my entree. There was no way I could order a full dinner.

Loved the views from the restaurant!
