After 16 days of rain I am running out of ideas.

Where do you go on a rainy day?

Sheryl, I'm getting a little sick and tired of all of this rain, too.

If I were traveling, I'd probably be spending my time in museums, shopping, or staying in, reading. As I am home now during this rain, it has given me no more excuses left to not catch up with the home chores that I love to put off. So I'm basically cleaning up my act on the homefront.

BTW, I seem to remember a June exactly like this one about 5 or 6 years ago. Not the way I want to herald in summer.

16 days of rain? Oh my. I've picked up dj'ing and practicing on the tables makes the time pass so quickly.

Ever thought of picking up an instrument? Guitar maybe?

Rainy day in NYC - pub? Wine bar?

Seriously, the Ziegfeld (sp) would love to see a movie there - big screen and all. Tickets/tickets - see what shows I could see. BTW - is it still in the Marriot? As others have said, museums - maybe some smaller ones that aren't as familiar...Check for classes at the Italian Culinary Institute, Wine tastings at Vino or Union Square Winery, Chelsea Market?

Look for cheap, last minute, fares and hop on a plane/train for somewhere else?

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I now carry a poncho, an extra pair of socks and a list of museums and pubs in my pocket for that extra heavy downpour.

Rain or not we went to Red Hook as planned. We even managed to have sampling of Latin American food at the Soccer Fields. Next week we are touring Hunter’s Point and I posted the itinerary as “we will either go for a picnic or a beer tasting – depending upon the weather”

Regards,
Sheryl

Send some rain our way....20 days and not a drop! Temps over 100 most days. Might as well be raining, though...too hot to get outdoors!
