Hi All...
Does anyone have any specific dates as to when the waterfalls will be completed?

I have googled ... and all I see are sometime in July...

Thanks,
Karen

yeah I can't find specific dates, but I can tell you that they've already started construction, wire frames are going up!

They have their own website here.

Alternatively, here's one of the sites with basic info and photos.

Thanks, Kate and Janet! For some reason, I hadn't even heard about them. But I'm glad to know about them now!

Yes, thanks, KT and Janet! I hadn't heard of it either. That Brooklyn, what a borough. Big Grin

What streets in Manhattan would be across from the waterfalls? My brother has an apartment on the East River at about 33rd St., and it may be worth a visit to him this summer to get to see them (and him and my SIL, of course, as well).

They are all downtown--you won't be able to see them from 33rd St. There are some on both sides of the river, and one on Governor's island. Look like the best viewing will be from the South Street Seaport area, or on the Brooklyn side from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade or below the Brooklyn Bridge. Or, one of the free ferry boats that will apparently be running. There aren't too many details yet but I'm sure there will be a map with the best viewing spots when they are completed.

This looks like a really fun way to see all the falls--from the water: http://www.nywatertaxi.com/waterfalls/
