We are going to Niagra Falls and I thought about staying in the Ramada Plaza hotel with the floor to ceiling, wall to wall window overlooking the falls and I wondered if it was worth the extra money. Anything anyone can tell me about it or Niagra Falls in general would be great. Thanks

I've only been to Niagara Falls from the Canadian side, which I've read repeatedly is much the more pleasant side...less tacky tourist stuff.

It isn't a reply to your question, but if you will be in Niagara Falls, drive along the scenic Niagara Parkway over to the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, stopping in the way at the horticultural school (well marked) where the lilacs must be exploding by now and roses just coming out.

Could try lunch at Oban Inn or the Prince of Wales in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Thanks doru for the info. We will definately take the scenic drive and I love to garden so the horticultural school is right up my alley. Also if it's lunch or dinner we will try one of those places to eat. Thanks again.

Dining on the patio at Hillebrand overlooking their vineyard is very romantic, and the food is consistently excellent. Inn on the Twenty is not nearly as pretty, but I've eaten well there. It is slightly more expensive.

If you are interested in theatre, you might want to take a look at the website for the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The view is better from the Canadian side, one of the falls in on the US side and you can't see it well unless you cross the bridge.
