Two of us are arriving separately late at night (10 pm and midnight) into Logan from the West Coast. We'll pick up a rental car the next morning and head for Maine.

Number one priority is reliable transport, followed by the usual: general security, cleanliness, cost, etc.

Any particular favorites? I know about the Hilton and will book there if I don't hear of something better.

We once had a horrible experience with Virgin Atlantic, where our flight from Logan was delayed more than 2 days. The second night they put us up in the Embassy Suites, which was pretty nice, and probably is cheaper than the Hilton. It's not as close as the Hilton, which is practically in the airport, but they have a shuttle to the airport.

Roz, thanks for a first person account. I've always had a favorable impression of Embassy Suites. Will keep tabs on prices over the next few days.

I'm almost sure I've stayed at that Embassy Suites too and found it fine. The trouble is, all airport hotels at all airports start to run together in my memory after a while...

For my date, the Hilton worked out cheaper than Embassy Suites. Thanks for responding!
